Mental Health

Mental Health includes our emotional, psychological and social wellbeing. Our mental health affects how we act, think and feel. Our mental health also determines how we handle stress, engage with other people and make choices in our everyday lives. Mental health can change over time, this change depends on many factors, particularly when demands are placed on a person that exceeds their ability to cope.

World Health Organisation states that mental health is:

A state of mental wellbeing that enables us to cope with the stresses of life, realise our abilities, learn well and work well and contribute to our community. Mental health is integral to our wellbeing.

Thornleigh response - Talk to us, share your concerns. We can refer you to agencies that could help or we can offer support in school. Please speak to your child's form tutor or year team about your concerns
