Sixth Form Open Evening
Thursday 15th October 2026 - 5:00pm - 7:30pm
Meet the Sixth Form staff and current Sixth Form students who will guide you through subject choices and explain what makes Thornleigh Sixth Form a unique place to study.
Year 11 Students - New Student Taster Event
Thursday 28th January 2027 - 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Register for the event to try out a lesson of your choice. Staff and current sixth form students will be available to answer questions about subject choices and sixth form life.
Year 11 Student Information and Advice Evening
Thursday 29th April 2027 - 4:30pm - 6:00pm
An evening for students and parents to hear more about life as sixth form student at Thornleigh. Information about results day, enrolment and how to be a successful Level 3 student.
Year 12 Futures Week
Monday 12th July 2027 - Friday 16th July 2027
An entire week dedicated to the future destinations of our sixth form students. Guest speakers from industry, universities, higher level/degree level apprenticeship providers will help students make informed choices about their future pathway.
Year 12 Work Experience Week
Friday 9th July - Friday 23rd July 2027
Students complete a week-long placement to strengthen applications and gain an understanding of work based expectations and routines.
Year 11 Students - Sixth Form Preview Day
Tuesday 20th July 2027
Students who have received an offer to join Thornleigh Sixth Form in September 2027 are invited to our preview day. This is the final opportunity to experience life as a Thornleigh Sixth Form student before GCSE results day.
